What’s new | 2026 release

This year, I expanded the original release with contextual alternates for selected frequently used letters, along with two alternate numeral sets. The ligatures remained, but their priorities were adjusted. IPA coverage was significantly broadened, with mark and mkmk positioning added for wider practical use. A few characters were refined, spacing and kerning were adjusted, and several additional useful glyphs were added. At the same time, most mathematical symbols were left out, as I would rather keep those for a more dedicated math-focused extension.

2025 release | The font was first released in 2025, with full support for Latin, Cyrillic, and Greek, along with useful symbols and basic IPA coverage. Ligatures were included to preserve the feel of natural handwriting as faithfully as possible.

2024 (not released) | In 2024, I returned to the idea and expanded the project far beyond its original core. This became the main development phase for the handwritten font, along with early directions for a sheet music companion and a math companion, including size alternates for selected elements.

2016 | The project began in 2016 as a personal tool for my own use. It then remained untouched for years, until I returned to it in 2024.

What I enjoy most about the process is the gradual deepening into how a font actually works — spacing, kerning, OpenType features, and the relationships between all of those parts. The font is much further along than it was at the beginning — and, in a way, so am I.
